Nancy Nash
Nancy Nash ~~ Fiber Arts and Quilts.
I have been quilting for about 25 years now, and in the last 10 years or so I have found excitement in working with beads, buttons and decorative threads. I enjoy experimenting with new techniques to create "one of a kind" pieces. I love to create a new piece specifically for a challenge. I prefer hand stitching instead of machine stitching. I often have several projects going at one time, in different stages, so I don't get bored of one too fast. I prefer to work out of my home for convenience. My work has been juried into local, national, and international shows including the Hoffman Challenge, Moda Fabric Challenge, FAVA ( Firelands Association for the Visual Arts ), Appalachian Arts, Aullwood Nature Center, NQA ( National Quilting Association), International Quilt Festival, Brush Art Gallery in Mass, and Sacred Threads, and locally at the Zanesville Art Center. I have been published in Quilting Arts Magazine and Quilting Today Magazine. I have my own pattern company, Shooting Star Patterns, wall hanging size quilts that I designed and now sell the pattern to quilt shop all over USA and into Canada.
I am a pediatric nurse of 30 years at Genesis, married to Joe Nash, we are the parents to Alex, Kelsey and Megan. I love to walk, bike , play tennis, take trips on our scooters, and spend time with my friends and family.
I hope that you enjoy my work, feel free to contact me with any questions.
