The First Friday Art Walk on February 5th, 2010 was canceled this year because of several inches of snow. ZAAP decided to hold over the show from February to give folks a chance to see the artwork of Marilyn and Gerry Westgerdes on display for that month. So we have no pictures for First Friday in February...unless you want to see more snow pictures?
We also want to thank everyone who purchased a raffle ticket for their chance to win a wonderful box. All of the proceeds went to three local artists who are fighting cancer. Thanks to all of you we were able to raise nearly $300 for each artist. One of our artists passed on prior to receiving the money so it was given to his widow. David Carpenter was a photographer and an accomplished violin maker. He will be missed by all those who knew him.
We hope to see you the next First Friday on April 2nd, 2010, where we'll be showing the work of Nancy Holland. Come enjoy her art work, the music of The Brady Israel Band, good food, friendly people, and lots of other artwork from local artists. On a side note (pun intended), The Brady Israel Band played a couple of new tunes for us.
