The First Friday Art Walk on May 1st, 2009 was a semi-wet night to walk around to the galleries and studios. It was a little
chilly outside and wet at times but we were hopping inside! There were many new faces that came through our doors and several
familiar ones too. Yabo had many friends come through the gallery and some stayed for the duration.
The music by The Brady Israel Band adds to our delight as usual! Their first CD is available for purchase anytime at the gallery.
If you missed out on getting your copy contact us and we'll let you know how to get a copy for yourself. Bob "Yabo" Wilson was
our Featured Artist. The place was packed all night with family, friends and fans of his work. He even brought in a couple of
motorcycles that he had done the artwork on.
Right out our back door is Paul Emory's studio where he had live music, a coffee bar and some of our members were painting and
sketching a live model. Our gallery has a new show every month which starts on the "First Friday" of that month and runs through
the last weekend of the month. As the weather improves so does the amount of folks who come downtown to enjoy the many talented
artists Zanesville's galleries offer.
If you haven't made it to the First Friday Art Walk, You have to come, all the studios and galleries were busy with guests
and artists! For those of us who aren't able to get around easily, Z-Bus runs a shuttle service that goes by each gallery every
20 minutes. The First Friday Art Walk is truely fun for the entire family and we hope you'll join us for the first time or come
back for more fun!
