The First Friday Art Walk on April 3rd, 2009 was a fairly good night to walk around to the galleries and studios. It was a little chilly outside but we were hopping inside! There were many new faces that came through our doors and several familiar ones too. There were many comments of praise for the work being displayed this month.

The music by The Brady Israel Band adds to our delight! Their first CD was available for purchase (I'm listening to it now). If you missed out on getting your copy contact us and we'll let you know how to get a copy for yourself. Gary G. Graham was our Featured Artist. He enjoyed talking with many of the ZAAP Gallery guests, about his work. He had 22 paintings and a wide assortmant of pottery! Everyone enjoyed his work and I'll lay odds his voice is a little scratchy from all the talking he did.

The ZAAP members that participated in this month’s show gave the guests of the ZAAP Gallery an abundance of talent. The artist brought in a variety of art, Woodcarving, Weaving, Pottery, Paper sculpture, Glass, Photography and Paintings in different media. We also have a member, who is always happy, and adds to the fun with her cheer. She brings a lot of life to the party and is a joy to have around.

Philo High School has new work in the downstairs gallery, be sure to come down and see these new artist's work. They do a wonderful job!

If you haven't made it to the First Friday Art Walk, You have to come, all the studios and galleries were busy with guests and artists!
