Bob "Yabo" Wilson

Bob “Yabo” Wilson began drawing and painting as a small child. At twelve, he did his first hand lettering on motorcycles. Among his influences, the biggest was his high school art teacher, Marilyn Stocker. “Mrs. Stocker gave me artistic freedom to work on whatever inspired me at the time while the rest of the class had to follow assignments.”

In1981 he started his own business, Graphix Unlimited, doing hand lettering, logo design, airbrush and pin stripping work. In the years to follow he did decals, screen printing and signage of all types including the Longaberger Company’s “Big Basket” in Newark, Ohio.

September 11, 2001 saw Bob downsizing his business. In 2006 he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and by December was forced to close his business.

“These days I have a new perspective on life, family, friends, God, and of course, art. I try to enjoy every second teaching art, studying art and painting for others. I have a strong support system and would like to thank all my artist friends for being such inspirations to me.”
